The wallpaper in the Bighorn is nice, but we wanted to make the area over the stove stand out more or as Melinda would say, "jazz it up a bit". We found “Peel and Stick” Vinyl Tiles at Lowes (but later found it cheaper at Amazon) that looked like it would be the perfect solution. We bought three packages....which turned out to be the perfect amount.
Melinda took lead on this project…and I’m glad she did. She figured out the best way to arrange the tiles and the end result far exceeded our expectations.
All in all, it was about a 1 hour project. The part that took the longest? Surprisingly, it was taking the window trim off as it seemed to have an endless amount of screws to keep it in! What would we do differently? Making sure to rub each tile down after sticking it up. We had a couple of spots bubbled up....
