We traveled to McCall, Idaho after staying in Baker City, Oregon for a quick overnight stop. This offered us a place to break the long trip to McCall in half, stock up on needed items and get several chores taken care of.

The drive from Baker City to McCall was beautiful, yet the trip was longer...

We had already experienced 2 filter water filtration units from Clearsource....  we understand the value of fresh, clean water.   When Clearsource developed the new "Ultra" brand with 3 filters, we knew it was time to upgrade!

Sometimes you can’t see something until you are looking for it.   How true!

For years, Jim and I have driven past the tiny town of Westfir, including a sign along Hwy 58 pointing towards Casey’s Riverside RV Park.....never paying much attention to it.

Boy, have we been missing out o...

We recently wrote about adding Rear Lights to our Bighorn.  We added this feature as we typically arrive at our campsite in the dark during winter camping trips.

The rear lights did an amazing job of providing light at the back of the RV, yet we still had some blind spots o...

We enjoyed our trip River Bend this past October yet due to the wet weather, we were unable to get out and explore.  Recently, we went back to River Bend and had the chance to get out!

The weather was perfect for walks around the camp, along the trails and exploring locations near...

One would expect to have strong WiFi signal and speed when camping at an RV resort.   They are certainly fancy when compared to our boon docking locations!  However, we've been disappointed time and time again with lack of WiFi signal in resorts that claim to have strong WiFi....

Both of us agreed the mattress that came with our Bighorn Trailer just wasn't allowing us to get comfortable and get a good nights sleep.  It seemed thin...and didn't have the support that we individually needed.  We woke up most mornings with a sore shoulder or sore hips.

Not a great...

We can connect to our 5th wheel hitch and the King Ping with ease.

Easy....breezy.

However, attaching that DARN emergency brake cable from the King Pin to our truck/hitch...NOT FUN.   It's the one step that I don't look forward to.  You have be 7 feet tall to reach over the wheel we...

We've all been there!  You're outside and remember that you need to grab something from the storage compartment.  And..... it's locked.   You have to get the keys from inside your RV.   It's not the biggest problem however, it gets repetitive.

The soluti...

Champoeg State Park, 30 minutes outside of Portland, Oregon, is a great spot to take the family for a long weekend away.  This family friendly location offers easy walking and bike trails within the park which follow along the Willamette River.  Our favorite area to camp is in "B Loop".  This loop o...

We spent our Veterans Day Weekend at the Salem RV Resort (Salem, Oregon).  While only a short 45 minutes from home, it was nice to get away for the extended weekend.

As you near the campground, we learned that you have to really keep a sharp eye out for the small (kind...

It's the season of giving....and everyone is on the hunt for the perfect gift.  Gifts for the RV can sometimes be tricky.   To help out, we selected 15 items from our RV in hopes that you also find them useful in your RV life.

This list includes suggestions from"stocking...

Camping during the winter is possible in Oregon as we typically don't have severe weather conditions that require an RV to "winterized" with RV Antifreeze.  This means we can leave after work on Friday and come home Sunday afternoon!  However, camping in the winter months usually means we are arrivi...

We love our replacement lock RVLOCK for our Bighorn.   With this replacement lock, we are able to lock/unlock our Bighorn, without having to use a key...how cool is that!

The one thing that bugged us before we made this change was ......why do we have to enter our code every tim...

It will happen... most likely, when you least expect it!  The water pump in your RV will....just....stop.....working.   (Nooooooooo!!!)   Or perhaps, after a long winter with freezing temperatures, there was a bit of residual water in the pump.....which led to cracking within the internal parts the...
